This Is a quick history lesson on the Beatles.  I have tried to summarize the all the key events for those of you that don't yet know much about the greatest band of all time.

It all started back in 1962 when the Beatles released their first UK single Love me do on October the 5 1962 which reached number 17 in the charts.  Then came their hit single Please Please me which became number one in the charts

From then on it just got better for them soon becoming house hold names through out Britain. Then Brian Epstein decided that the Beatles should hit the rest of the world and they soon landed in America on the febuary 7 1964 and appeared on the Ed Sullivan show on febuary 9 The Americans loved them and they quickly rose to international success becoming Britain's biggest export.

On August 27 1967 Brian Epstein was found dead in his bed from a drug over dose and I think It was then when the Beatles started to drift apart, without the guiding hand of Brian they more or less did what the hell they wanted to do and this caused conflict in the group.

Along came Yoko Ono, a sad day for the world of music as she diverted john's mind and put in some of her own influence into the music and the way that the Beatles operated as a band. (That's my opinion any way.)

The band from then on had considerable problems with John and Paul not getting on to well and not working together , in 1970 they released their final album Let it be  and their last performance was on top of the Abbey Road studio's roof.

The final nail in the coffin was when Paul issued the rest of the band with high court writs on December 31 1970 wanting a formal end to the Beatles . They never played as a band again.

If any of this is not correct please let me know
